Podcasts: Segelradio

The Podcast-Project „Segelradio“, which is german for „Sailing-Radio“, is about long term cruises, sailors and people I meet in ports and anchorages. We talk about the amazing experiences, the day to day living on a boat, expectations and reality of cruising. Depending on who I partner with for an episode these talks will sometimes be in english while most of the content is german. All english episodes will be listed on my english blog and the whole podcast can be subscribed to at www.segelradio.de or directly via iTunes

Sailing on a cruise

In april 2009 I traded office and desk for charttable on a boat. Freelancing from aboard „Paulinchen“ I cruised Europe's baltic sea and crossed the Atlantic Ocean to northern America. The cruise and my experience along the route is covered in several articles on- and offline. You can find out more about this fantastic voyage at:

Photography

For a first impression I combined a few pictures combined to a small Portfolio. Please also visit the online archives and if you like the pictures you can always contact me or go Stockmaritim for a selection of pictures for purchase.

Documenting a world cruise

Images, Texts and Sounds from a live at sea

„It is the dream of a child: To travel, just for the purpose of traveling and making a living off it. To see the worlds remotest shorelines and the lost islands all the adventures it has read and heard of were about. Then one day there was an opportunity to change the pattern of a live and to reach out to fulfill this dream. A decision that required to leave a lot behind to start something completely new.“

I am on this cruise right now and from aboard I free lance as a writer and photographer to let people participate in this adventure. My articles cover technical topics and travel stories from along the route. Since started back in 2009 I can offer authentic first hand experience and high quality images on request or from stock.

While stopping here and there I also do presentations about this trip at yacht clubs or special events like boat shows. Interested? Contact me

Prensentations

Do a cruise and don't get wet

Cruising the world normally is best experienced first hand. But listening to a presentation about this travel is at least the second best way and saves you from wet and salty cushions after endless nightshifts in the english channel, an almnost knockdown in the atlantic and a life on a boat covered in a few inches of snow…

I love to talk about my trip and to chat about the experiences I made along the route. So I have put up a presentation that covers the full story departing from germany, crossing the atlantic ocean and sailing to right where I am now. More than 1000 days in about 100 minutes, illustrated with short videos and many many pictures.
